Caprece Jackson-Garrett, CTA*, Owner and Principal Consultant of Bonneau Caprece llc, established in 2010 to provide strategic marketing, public relations and event production/management services.

The former Baltimore City Hall Press Secretary for the Council President during the O’Malley Administration, and Events Director Emeritus for the Living Classrooms’ Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park, is a graduate of Ohio University and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Caprece worked as a general interest journalist and freelance fashion reporter based in Paris, France for five years. She honed her skills as a publicist and event planner in Washington, D.C. during the late 80’s/early 90’s.

Caprece is the co-founder of Wear It Out Baltimore (WIOB) established in 2011 to provide platform opportunities for Baltimore’s emerging industry-standard fashion community and produce showcase segments highlighting gifted design talent, independent boutiques, hair and make-up artistes. She founded The Bonneau Caprece Jazz Series in 2013 to perpetuate the rich history and continuing legacy of Baltimore’s Jazz Tradition. Both entities are subsidiaries of Bonneau Caprece llc.

Sam Davis began his newspaper career at the Afro-American in 1979 covering high school, college and recreation ssports working under Hall of Fame Sports Editor Sam Lacy.

In 1980, during his junior year at Coppin State College, he began working at The Baltimore Sun, as a part-time temporary editorial assistant. In 1984 he was promoted to reporter, covering high school sports in Baltimore metropolitan area.

From 1984-92 he covered high schools and served as the backup beat reporter for the Washington Bullets. In 1992 he was promoted to Local Sports Editor, responsible for directing the coverage of high school, junior college and recreational sports in five zoned sections. In 1995 he was promoted to Assistant Sports Editor, directing the coverage of high schools, local colleges and the planning of the daily sports section. In 1997 he was promoted to Deputy Sports Editor, helping oversee a staff of 60 reporters and copy editors. In 1998 he was promoted to Executive Sports Editor, as the second in command of the sports staff. In 2001 he was promoted to Assistant Managing Editor for Sports becoming the senior editor for the department. In 2004 he was named The Sun’s Assistant Managing Editor for Recruitment and Staff Development.

In 2007 he was named Assistant Managing Editor for Administration and Recruitment. In 2011 he was named Page One Editor/Director of Administration. In 2013 he was named Assistant Managing Editor/News. Sam is a Baltimore native, a 1977 graduate of Carver Vocational Technical High, a 1981 graduate of the Community College of Baltimore (Major: Journalism) and a 1983 graduate of Coppin State (Major: English).

Sam was a high school basketball official from 1988 to 1992 and taught a class in Sports Writing at Morgan State from 1998 to 2008. Sam has also worked in broadcast media. He served as host of The Baltimore Sun High School Sports Show (also known as Replay Sun High School Sports) from 1999 to 2005.
