The Baltimore Association of Black Journalists took a time out from the summer break to host a Chat ‘N Chew with Baltimore native and Hollywood Movie Producer Dawn ‘Lucky” Manning at Teavolve Cafe & Lounge in Harbor East.
The event took place July 1.
More than 15 Baltimore-area film and TV production professionals showed up to pick Dawn’s brain about the industry. She talked about her journey – studying at Penn State University and moving to Los Angeles – plus what it takes to learn the business management side of film production.
The Seton Keough High School alumna and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha recently served as an additional coordinator for Coldplay’s “Magic” and Beyonce’s “Haunted” and “Superpower” music videos.
Dawn’s recent film credits include: The Last Fall (2012,) Studio (2007) and LUV (2012).
